Passed away
Mrs. Nora E. Watson, 93, Decatur, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28. She was born in Fayette County, Oct. 19, 1874, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Cameron Grubaugh. She was married to James Ashton who passed away. Later she married Russell Watson, who also preceded her in death. She moved from the St. Elmo area twenty years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Stradley, and a brother, Homer Grubaugh, both of Decatur; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, two daughters, three brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were at 10 am Tuesday in the Moran Funeral Home in Decatur and gravesdie service at 12:30 pm at the Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo where she was buried.
