George was employed for many years at Portland Motor Sales as the Service Manager and was a well respected mechanic.
His hobby was restoring antique tractors and he was admired by many for his expertise.

George J. Densmore, 72, of 633 East Grand River Ave., Portland, died June 10 in a Lansing hospital.
Born Jan. 17, 1913, he was the son of Nelson and Johanna Trierweiler Densmore.
Surviving are his wife, Aileen; a son, Leon, of Charlotte; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Rose) Mosser and Mrs. Ronald (Dolores) Frazee, both of Portland; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son, Lavern, preceded him in
death, in 1959; one brother, Francis, of Portland; three sisters, Lorena Knight of Lansing, Catherine Romwalter of Haslett and Bernestine McNamara of Charlotte.
Rosary was at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Neller Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Thursday 10 a.m., with the Revs. Donald Weber and Richard Van Lente officiating.
Burial was in Portland Cemetery, with Peter, Neil and David Densmore, Dennis and Craig Mosser and Daniel Lenneman serving as pallbearers.
