Died, Mrs. Catherine Andrews, age 73, on Feb 25, 1904, at their old home seven miles south of Redfield. She was born in eastern Virginia August 30, 1830 and emigrated to Illinois in April 1860. She married Isaac Andrews March 27, 1866 and came to Kansas in July, 1867, settled on farm where she has lived these 37 years and where her husband died in 1875. She leaves to mourn her daughter, and three step children. She was converted when a girl and united with the M. E. church after coming to Kansas. She joined the Mt Orum Baptist Church. Her funeral services were preached by Elder Proudy at the Dunkard (Paint Creek) church, after which she was laid away in the burying ground adjoining the church. (Her daughter is Idella Anna Delia Andrews Johnson.) Her stepchildren: Albert Andrews (1864-?); Jasper Andrews (1866-?); and Minerva Andrews (1868-?.
