SHERANDO-Miss Gladys Marion Truslow, 70, of Route 2, Waynesboro, died Tuesday at 11 p.m. in Waynesboro Community Hospital.
Miss Truslow was born in Beech Grove, Nelson County, on July 26, 1903, a daughter of the late John James and Martha Rachel Thompson Truslow. She was a member of Sherando United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. M. D. (Lillie) Coiner of Waynesboro and Mrs. B. G. (Ninnie) Fitzgerald Sr. of Stuarts Draft; one brother, Odell Truslow of Newport News; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. W. A. (Curtis) Thomas and Mrs. W. L. (Maudie) Tomes; and two brothers, Brainard G. Truslow and Oaklie H. Truslow.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Sherando United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Clyde W. Weaver Jr., the Rev. Roy D. Kiser and the Rev. Charles C. Ramsey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Lyle Brooks, Jesse W. Bridge, Sidney C. Shirley, Donald F. Wright, Reginald T. Bridge, and Robert T. Monroe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ollie Patterson, Gordon Patterson, Harry T. Robertson, Mike S. Keenan, Delle A. Fitzgerald, John A. Farrar, Steve Loving, Edward F. Coiner, Jerry L. Shirley, R. N. "Joe" Harman, O. Martin Wheeler, Carl K. Almarode, Richard Seaman, James E. Clements, Roger W. Bryant, Dr. Thomas L. Gorsuch, Dr. B. K. Weems.
The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight.
