Funeral services for Floyd Moseley, 77, of Diana, will be noon Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with the Rev. Ronnie McGee officiating. Interment will follow in Pierce Cemetery, Panola County, at 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Moseley went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening at a Longview hospital. Floyd fought a long and very courageous battle with emphysema.

A native of Tatum, Texas, he was born February 28, 1932, to James B. and Mattie Mae Moseley, who preceded him in death. Floyd retired from Crown Cork and Seal where he was a supervisor in the tool and die making division.

Mr. Moseley was a great-grandson of a pioneer family who moved to Rusk, Texas, in 1845 from Georgia. He liked NASCAR and dirt track racing, fishing and camping and cruising Caddo Lake in his barge. He enjoyed working on cars and gardening with his friends. He also enjoyed his family and friends keeping his spirits up during his illness.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda; and together they raised two sons, James Moseley and wife, Laura of Diana and Darryl Moseley and wife, Elba of Diana; and two daughters, Carol Jernigan and husband, Kenny of Longview and Beth Harrington and husband, Johnny of Center; grandchildren, Jill Elrod, Summer Womack, Jessica Hyde, Justin Ford, Scott Moseley, Adam Caudle, J. T. Harrington, Kensi Jernigan and Kody Jernigan; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Womack; and sisters, Dorothy Gregg of Longview, and Mattie Belle Freeman of Goodrich, Texas; and there was a special place in his heart for Dewayne and Cleta.
