I unfortunately know little about his life except that he was the youngest of 11 siblings born to Robert Holliday and Amanda Chestnut. His death certificate listed his occupation as "dentist." He was of a mixed race background. His family's last name has alternately been spelled as: Holiday, Halliday, Haliday, Holerday, Holladay, Halladay and Holleday. I believe he lived most of his life in the Fayetteville area, as did most of his siblings.
