He graduated from high school in Soldier, Kansas.
He served in the Navy before being an engineer at Aerojet.
He married his wife, Eleanor, on Sept. 27, 1980, in Chiloquin.
Mr. Burnett was a member of the Chiloquin Fie Department for 18 years and president of the Chiloquin Lions Club for four years.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Burnett of Chiloquin; daughters, Roberta Stone of Portland and Sharon Tucevich of Dayton, Nev.; sons, Robert Burnett of Portland; grandchildren, Deborah Ferreira and Rochelle Trotts of Dayton and Lee and Kevin Pinkstaff and Steve and Charzetta Stone of Portland; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Craig Jackson and Nicole and Cody Trotts.
