Clifford A. Neese, 80 years old of Stratford, passed away at his home January 29, 1985. He was born January 16, 1905 at Stratford. He was the son of Clarence and Emily Westrum Neese of Stratford. One June 20, 1928 he married Mable Crouse at Stratford and he farmed in the Stratford area until his retirement. He was a graduate of Stratford High School and he graduated from 4-C College in Des Moines in 1923. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stratford
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one granddaughter and one sister.
He is survived by one son, Paul, of Stratford, two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Pamela) Bloomquist, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Tom (Kathryn) Reed, Boone; seven grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren; three nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday January 31 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Stratford with the Rev. Schoolfield officiating. Burial will be at South Marion Cemetery. Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The organist will be Margaret Erickson and soloist will be Norman Erickson. Pallbearers will be Robert Carlson, Orville Carlson, Loran Carlson, Delbert Peterson, Gerald Westrum and Alton Crim.
