MRS. JUNTA DIES; LEAVES 14 CHILDREN 40 GRANDCHILDREN
Pearl Junta, mother of 14 children, among them Sergeant William Junta of the Midland Park Police Department and Patrolman Albert Junta of the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department, died early Tuesday morning at her home at 171 Hill Street, Midland Park. She was 74 years old and been ill a long time.
Mrs. Junta was born in the Netherlands on September 10, 1876, and had lived in Midland Park for the past 53 years. Her husband, the late Aalt Junta, predeceased her a number of years ago.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from her home and at 2 o'clock from the First Holland Reformed Church on Center Street, of which she was a member. The Rev. Anton A. Schermer, pastor and Jacob Van Der Meer, elder in the church, will be in charge. Burial will follow at Valleau Cemetery.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. John Cronk of Ridgewood, and Mrs. Garry Van Dyke, Mrs. Barney Smith, Mrs. Lambert Vander Veen, Mrs. Carl Nelke, Mrs. Allen Cronk, and Miss Pearl Junta, all of Midland Park; seven sons, Garrett W., William, Albert, and Jacob Junta of Midland Park, Thomas of Glen Rock, Barney of Wyckoff and John of Paterson; 40 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two sisters in the Netherlands.
