Lucy Taylor Deen -MOULTRIE - Lucy Taylor Deen, 89, of Moultrie, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. -Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Gandy and Rev. Jimmy Albritton officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Honorary casketbearers will be members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class of Kingwood Baptist Church. -Born July 31, 1919 in Montgomery County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Wiley Taylor and Mettie Ladson Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingwood Baptist Church. -She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Harrison Deen; three brothers, Duncan Taylor, James "Jim" Taylor and Dewitt "J.D." Taylor; a grandson, Jason Deen; and her daughter-in-law, Grace Deen. -Surviving are one daughter, Virginia Deen Burdette of Moultrie; three sons, Charles M. Deen and wife Barbara Horne Deen and Hubert H. Deen, all of Moultrie and Larry W. Deen and wife Karen Ussery Deen of Macon; four sisters, Ruth Mims of Okeechobee, Fla., Jackie Flowers and husband Enos and Mollie Jordan, all of Moultrie and Martha Chitty and husband Lowell of Satsuma, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Robert Scott Burdette, DeWayne Deen, Craig Deen, Barbie Deen Shuping, Sonya Deen, Abbie Deen McLeod, Kacey Deen, Ronald Barnes, Pamela Kimbrell and Raymond Barnes; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter. -Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
