Lema Mozelle Moore Crews, 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2003. She was born May 27, 1920, in Stokes County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Crews; and by her parents, John Henry and Mary Magdalene Moore. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Phillip Thomas Crews and wife, Sherry, of King; five daughters, Janet Ridge of King, Rebecca Harrison and husband, Gray, of Arcadia, Peggy Tuttle of Lexington, Nancy Mikels and husband, Ben, of King and Lena Hall and husband, Randall, of Pinnacle; two sisters, Ella Mae Myers of Winston-Salem and Dora Lee Shouse of Rural Hall; three brothers, Harden Odell Moore of King, James Moore of King and Jack Moore and wife, Betty, of Tobaccoville; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, in the First Christian Church in King with Bill Truitt, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the church and other times at the home of the son, Phillip Crews, 2454 Slate Road in King. There will be no graveside service. Memorials may be made to the cemetery fund of First Christian Church, P.O. Box 504, King, NC 27021.
