RAMEY, Mary Ellen (Roberts) age 91 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday March 15, 2009 in South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center, Florida. She was born on May 31, 1917 in Elbow Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of Richard and Effie Ellen (Brewster) Amundson. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and the Fairborn Senior Citizens. Survivors include her daughter, Pauline Smith of Yellow Springs, Ohio, one grandson, Drew Smith of Portsmouth, Ohio. Two brothers, Carrol Amundson of Minnesota and Ellard Amundson of South Carolina. Step-daughter Joan (Gary) Helms of Springfield, Ohio. Step-grandson Traves Helms and family. Sisters-in-law, Pearl Amundson, Rosalie Engle, Dennie Amundson and Dorothy Amundson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clark W. Roberts, second husband, Cleston Ramey in 2000. Five brothers, Forrest, Lloyd, Richard, Dick and Morris Amundson. Family will receive friends Friday March 20, 2009 6:00-8:00P.M. at the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 East Main Street, Fairborn where funeral services will be held Saturday March 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Merle Walter officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
