Capt. Benj. Adams died Aug. 25. He
was born in Gorham, Maine, in 1783. He
had a mercantile business after the war in
Hollowell, Maine. In 1830, he came to
Ohio. From 1836-1841, he was Postmaster
in Painesville. He died at age 76 years.
