Mrs. Elsie B. Patterson Bear, 84, of 331 Valley View Drive, New Holland, died Thursday at her home after an illness of several years. She was the widow of Harry E. Bear. Born in Gordonville and a resident of Lancaster County her entire lifetime, she was the daughter of the late John and Ella Hookey Patterson. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ada C. Dietz, with whom she resided; a son, Harry I. Bear, Lancaster; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and one brother, Clarence Patterson, Lancaster. (The Ephrata Review - Jan 31, 1974)
