George W Brownlee Sr, 74 of 43 Laurel Drive, husband of Marie Wise Brownlee, died Saturday at the Elberton-Elbert County Hospital. born in Milledgeville, he was a son of the late John T and Dosia Manderson Brownlee. He was a retired stone polisher at Dixie Granite Company and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are widow of the home; sons. Bobby Gene Brownlee of Laurel, Md, George T. Brownlee of Folly Beach, SC. James E Brownlee of Watkinsville, George W Brownlee Jr of Athens; Daughters, Mrs Margaret Jordon of Charleston, SC, Mrs Fay Sager of Nashville, Tenn, Mrs Joan lewis of Nebo NC, Mrs Sandra Baird of Commerce; 23 grand-children.

Funeral Services were held at 10 am Monday at Poole-Martin Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs Eugene Marchbanks and Buford Lockman. Bural was in Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. the family request that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
