Band Mill Citizen Dies at Advanced Age
John D. Guthrie aged 83 died at his home at Band Mill, Saturday, July 3. The greater part of his life was spent in Izard County and was a resident of Texas for a few years.
The funeral was held Sunday and burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Augusta Guthrie and Mrs Etta Blankenship of Band Mill and Mrs Grace Rodman of Little Rock; two sons, T. W. Guthrie of Melbourne and Jeff Guthrie of North Little Rock; a sister, Mrs W. R. Ducker of Pineville; two brothers, T. J. Guthrie of Calico Rock and Oliver Guthrie of Texas.
