Margaret Shedden, 89, Rock Springs, died June 28, 2001 at the Sage View Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born on Dec.1, 1911 in Sublette, the daughter of the late William Albert and Elizabeth Ann Attryde Bateman.
She attended schools in Hanna and was a graduate of Rock Springs High School with the class of 1929.
She married Charles L. Shedden in Rock Springs in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a secretary-bookkeeper for Parker Wholesale and later worked as a secretary for Rock Springs High School. She worked as a secretary-bookkeeper for the Bureau of Reclamation until she retired.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the F.O. Eagles Auxiliary 151. She enjoyed knitting and was the former owner and operator of The Knittery in Rock Springs.
