Geraline Barbee Pool, 74, of Rule died Thursday, January 18, 1996 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Services were held Saturday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Stewart Farrell officiating. Burial followed in Rule Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Robison Funeral Home.
She was born July 5, 1921 in Rule, Texas. She was a graduate of Rule High School and McMurry University with a degree in Education. She taught school for 37 years, 34 of them in Rule.
She married R.C. Pool February 25, 1949 in Haskell.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rule, she was a member of several bridge clubs and the Breakfast Club and a lifetime member of the Retired Teachers Assocation.
She is survived by her husband R. C. Pool of Rule; 4 brothers, Otha V. Barbee of Amarillo, C. B. Barbee of Bronte, J. R. Barbee of Rule, and E. G. (Tinker) Barbee of Canton; and one sister, Ina Sellers of Rule.
Pallbearers were Lavon Beakley, L. W. (Doc) Jones Jr., Melvin Fannin, Ernest Simpson, Malcolm Herttenberger, and A. D. May.
Honorary pallbearers were Wallace Allison, Festus Hunt, Weldon Norman, Bill Bowles, and Sid Hester.
