MYRTLE MALME BROKKE, 89, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, at the Ridgeview Assisted Living Facility, Huntington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Keith Wiebe. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
Myrtle was born September 20, 1919, in Nielsville, Minn., a daughter of the late Knute and Josephine Malme.
She was a homemaker, bookkeeper for her husband's Standard Oil dealership and a member of Grace Gospel Church. In addition to her parents, five brothers and two sisters, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Orville Jerome Brokke. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susan Brokke of Granite Falls, Minn., and Dan and Sally Brokke of South Point, Ohio; one daughter, Noreen Brokke of Goleta, Calif.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Daryn Lecy, Steve Brokke, Jill Brokke, Nathan and Natasha Brokke, David, Timothy and Jonathon Brokke; as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Tayte and Claire Lecy.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
