S/o William Thomas Love & Mary Grace Lane; raised by Mary Grace's parents, Thomas Veon Lane (66562634) & Mary "Patience" Lankford (35957431), and named Harry Lane. (Thomas said that if he was going to grow up in the Lane household, he would go by the name "Lane!")

Half brother of Earl, Ada, Mattie, Augustus, Howard, Dorothy, Frances & Grace Sprague.

(1) Anna May Porter (m. Mar. 24, 1902).
(2) Rosa Lankford Guckert (m. Nov. 9, 1938; divorced July 6, 1947 after Rosy moved back
to Marietta "because she didn't like living on a farm").
(3) Lillian Reynolds (m. Sept. 1, 1947, Williamstown, West Virginia). He was 67; she was only 35.

Father of Perry, Clifford, Richard, Paul, Howard & Dolores Lane; grandfather of nine.

In 1918, he was a machinist at Stegner Machine Co. at the corner of 7th & Green Streets. Raising his family in Reno, Ohio, he farmed and also ran a threshing crew and saw mill. For enjoyment, he played piano, cello and violin and was known as one of the best fiddle players around at local barn dances. After marrying a third time, he moved into Marietta and lived at 706 Ninth St. where Lillian ran Lane's Grocery in the front half of their home.

Died at 79y 10m 12d from complications of diabetes.
