Obituary:

Bethel Board Leader Dies

Edward W. Webster, 69, president of the Bethel School Board, died Thursday at his home. He lived at Rt. 1, Box 153A, Graham.

Mr. Webster was born in the Graham area and lived there all his life. He had served on the school board since 1963 and had been its president since 1964.

He also served on the Pierce County Committee on School District Organization from 1947 to 1967. He was the committee's vice president from 1954 to 1956 and president from 1957 to 1964.

Mr. Webster was a retired farmer and owned and operated the Elk Plain Cafe. He was a board member of Loveland Mutual Co.

Survivors include two brothers, W. E. and Thomas, both of Tacoma; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Kronquist, of Graham, Mrs. Hazel Buchanan, of Tacoma, and Mrs. Bernt Carlson, of Graham.

Services will be announced by Dryer Mortuary.

WEBSTER—Services for Edward W. Webster will be Monday, 2 p.m. at the Dryer Mortuary, Pastor John Briehl officiating. Burial in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers, Arthur Crate, Rocky Crate, Howard Crate, Arthur Clark, Francis Olson, and Stanley Johnson. Family suggests memorials may be given to the Bethel High School Scholarship Fund.
