Hazel Webster Buchanan
Known to everyone as "Grandma Hazel"
Passed away February 8, 1999. She was born April 29, 1905 to Edward and Alice Webster, early pioneers in the Muck Creek (Graham) area. Hazel retired from the Greyhound Bus Company after 39 years of service working as a ticket clerk and then as a tour agent. Hazel was the last member of the Webster family, being preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Also, son James E. Buchanan and daughter JoAnn Lance.
She is survived by a son, Michael; daughter-in-law Lillian Buchanan, widow of James; brother-in-law Bernt Carlson; grandchildren Robert Ruhl, Peggy Buchanan, James Scott (Jennifer) Buchanan, Diana (Mark) Ballman, Jeffrey (Maria) Buchanan, Brian, Mark and Mike Buchanan; 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 26418 Mtn. Highway E., Spanaway. Visitation Friday, 3-5 p.m. at Dryer Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Hazel's name. Burial in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements by Dryer Mortuary.
