Emma married Ralph Lewis on 3 Apr 1866 in Cuba, New York. They lived in Lyndon, Cattaraugus County, New York, where most of their children were born. For a brief time, the family moved to Eldred, McKean County, Pennsylvania, while Ralph was working in the oil fields there.
Then in 1883, Ralph and Emma Lewis and their family homesteaded in Keya Paha County, Nebraska. They were the parents of seven children:
Stillman Otto Lewis, married 1) Belle Spencer 2) Jessie Lockwood.
Frank Albert Lewis, married Josephine N. Ballard.
Harry DeAlton Lewis, married Adella Oralie Fitzpatrick.
Orra L. Lewis, died young.
Mary Loretta "Molly" Lewis, married Frank J. Rhodes.
Guy Weaver Lewis, married Anna Heiden.
