V. O. McConnell, 61, Dies Feb. 26
Vernon Owen McConnell, 61, of Central City, was dead on arrival Wednesday, February 26 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Ohio County, he was a member of the Church of Christ and was employed by Gibraltar Coal Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Daisy McConnell; mother, Mrs. Owen McConnell of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Gaston of Central City and Mrs. Barbara Cook of Lowell, Ind; three brothers, William and Ernest McConnell of Beaver Dam and Gobel McConnell of Bowling Green; five sisters, Mrs. Charles DeHart of Beaver Dam, Mrs. John Davern of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Cecil Kilburn of Corning, N.Y., Mrs. Olus Lacefield of Hop Dale, Ill, and Mrs. Ed Kline of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home with Mr. Earl Gieseke officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery
