Obituary - "Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Albert Melton for Mrs. Mintie Arbell Akers, 93, at the Faxon Methodist Church, who died at her home in Faxon Monday, October 24 after a long illness.
Mrs. Akers was one of the oldest citizens in Benton County and will be greatly missed in her community. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Paul Akers of Memphis, Tom Akers of Faxon; two daughters, Mrs. Jess Farmer and Miss Vick Akers of Faxon, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Crooked Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home."
