Mrs. Dorothy M. Burdette, 63, of Oklahoma City, formerly of McAlester, died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was a native of Hartshorne, born Sept. 28, 1923. Graveside services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Elmwood cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives at Mills Funeral Home on Thursday evening between 8 and 9 p.m. Mrs. Burdette married Billy Whiting in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1973. She married Harold Joe Burdette in January, 1979 at Oklahoma City, where she had resided since. She was employed for 14 years at the McAlester Credit Bureau, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartshorne, Eastern Star and Credit Women's International Club. Survivors include her husband, Harold Joe, of the home; three daughters, Billie Jean LeFlore of McAlester, Linda Angeli of Fayetteville, N.C. and Debbie Holuby of Edmond; five brothers, Harvey Brazil and Bill Brazil, both of Oklahoma City, Floyd Brazil of Wichita, Kas., and Virgil Brazil and Raymond Brazil, both of Houston, Tex., two sisters, Marie Kelton and Bernice Mitchell, both of Hartshorne; seven grandchildren, Bill and Sondra Harris, both of McAlester, Tonya and Steve Bernardi, Fayetteville, N.C. and Ladonna, Jeana and Angie Holuby, all of Edmond; and three step-children.
