Mr. Johnny Woodard, age 102 of Fort Worth, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 in the Universal Hospice House in Fort Worth. Mr. Woodard was born December 20, 1906 in Leon County, Texas and had been living in Fort Worth. He was retired having worked as a farmer and had also worked as an assembler for A-Brandt Furniture Company. Mr. Woodard was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two children daughter Louise Maddux and husband Wayne, of Fort Worth; son Don Woodard and wife Helen, of Fort Worth; four granddaughters Deborah Southard, Donna Mann and husband Rick, Cindy Taylor and husband Jeff, and Deon George, all of Fort Worth; four great-grandchildren Jeffrey, Tiffany, Brandon and Hailee; one great-great-grandson Shane; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceded in death by his wife Bessie Woodard on January 8, 2001.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Johnny Woodard were held Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Park in Crockett with Pastor James Schoenrock officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Universal Hospice House, 5651 Bridge Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.
