Fanny I. Barton, 94 of Turtle Lake died Feb. 27 at Cumberland Extended Care Unit. Funeral services were Monday morning at Bethany Lutheran Church in Almena with the Rev. Jean-Pierre Appel officiating and burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mrs. Barton was born Oct. 20, 1914 to William and Marion (Autio) Wuorenma in Almena. She grew up in the Almena area and worked for a few years in Barron. She married Fay Barton on Aug. 10, 1936 in Center City, Minn. She worked at Stokelys, raised her family and was a manager at DHIA in Barron for several years.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Jones and Renee Rau, both of Turtle Lake; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Evelyn Sparish of Cumberland.
Mrs. Barton's husband, Fay, died Dec. 14, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a grandson and a great-grandson.
