Mr. Donovan was born April 14, 1892 in Belaire, Ohio. He was a former school teacher at Corning, Pawnee City and Fairview, Kansas; a retired postal carrier, working out of the Kansas City, Kansas Post Office for 23 years; and had lived in this area since 1945 where he farmed. He was a member of the Corning Masonic Lodge and Jarbalo Grange.
Mr. Donovan is survived by his wife, Hazel V. Donovan of the home; two daughters, Mrs Maxine Fiscus, Kansas City, Kansas, and Mrs. Velma Bowlin, of Sequim, Washington; a son, Jack Donovan, Linn Creek, Mo; a brother Joseph Donovan, Kansas City, Mo; five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Hubbell Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
