received from Marchelle Nielson (#47199033):

When my g.g. grandfather, Jorgen came with his family from Denmark they changed the name from Andreasen to Andersen. Then one of the boys said, "Dad came to me in a dream and told me to change the name to Anderson." Some of the boys said if Dad wants me to change the name he can come to me too. Then one of Jorgen's sons went to Denmark on a mission and when he came back he changed his name back to Andreasen. So from this line there are three ways to spell the last name.
