Anchorage resident Diane Bradley, 59, died July 22, 2003, at Alaska Regional Hospital. A funeral was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3250 Strawberry Road. Bishop Mark Rindlisbacher officiated. Flowers were welcome. Burial was at Anchorage Memorial Park. Pallbearers included Jess Ellis, Don Schindler, Terry Porter and John Martin.

She was born Oct. 3, 1943, in Tremonton, Utah. After high school, Ms. Bradley spent two years becoming a licensed practical nurse. She spent most of her 20-year career as a medication or charge nurse. She served many people as a nurse and moved from Reno, Nev., to Woodland, Calif., then on to Oregon, where she worked in nursing facilities for the elderly and disabled. Ms. Bradley retired from work because of health problems in February 1991. She moved to Anchorage July 11, 1997. Ms. Bradley was an endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved attending the temple and completed her family genealogy work back to the 1400s. She enjoyed arts and crafts, games and all kind of social events. Her favorite pastime was visiting with those who were her biological and adopted families. Her family wrote: "Diane spent the last five and a half years confined to a broken body; however, she never allowed her physical pain or limitations to show. Diane would laugh and smile and 'wiggle-jiggle' with pure joy. The light that emanated from her was truly contagious, and when visiting with her or caring for her, it was easy to forget the pain and troubles of life and for maybe just a while and enjoy true happiness."

Ms. Bradley is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Rae of Anchorage and Julia Rae of Portland, Ore.; brothers, Randall Knudson of Reno and Wayne Knudson of Ogden Canyon, Utah; sister, Kay McMorrow of Chicago; granddaughter, Victoria Rae of Anchorage; and "many adopted families, care providers and friends were lucky enough to be a part of Diane's life." Arrangements were handled by Witzleben's Bragaw Chapel.
