Durham, 89, of Monroe died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, in St. Francis Medical Center.
She was a native of Trout. She earned her bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and her master's in education from Memphis State University. She retired from the public school system in Minneapolis. She was a member of the American University of Women and the National Association of Federal Employees. She was active in Sunday school and the senior citizens' music ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Durham Sr. of Monroe; one son, Joe Durham Jr. of Clanton, Ala.; and one brother, Ben Sheppard of Dallas.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
