Peter Keller; b. 05/20/1813 in Larksville, Luzerne Co, PA; d. 02/11/1850 in Kingston, PA
Mary (Snyder) Keller; b. 03/15/1815 PA; d. 03/22/1901 Plymouth, Luzerne Co, PA; buried in Forty Fort Cemetery, Luzerne Co, PA, Lot 731.
Marilla married Thomas Gratton Castor on 10/10/1858 in Luzerne Co, PA.
Their 11 children were:
Mary Elnora, Clarisa Ellen, Charles, William LeRoy, Lily Myrtle, Minnie Louise, James Edwin, Susan Gertrude, Crissie Vida, Anna Violet & Bertha Maude Castor.
IN MEMORIAM
Deceased was the mother of eleven children, eight of whom were in constant attendance at her bedside during her affliction. She survived her long illness with a patience & fortitude equal to the charitable & immaculate life she had lived. Was a human being in distress, no hand was ever more ready to go to soothe their sorrow, relieve their pain or close their eyes in death. To the sorrowing husband & children, we would say, weep not for wife and mother, for if there is a better land, she has certainly merited an eternal residence there.
POEM
Our mother dear now rests in peace, she now from pain is free. She has bidden farewell to loved ones here, and gone to eternity.
We mourn for her and our hearts are sore, her loving voice we miss. Her loving face we see no more, she has gone to a better world than this.
We watched and worked by her bedside, her suffering made our hearts sore. But patiently she did bear it all, till this life with her was no more.
It seemed so hard to give her up, and bear her body away. We laid it gently in the grave, but the spirit had sped away.
Farewell dear mother, wife and friend, how we miss thee none can tell. But it soothes our aching heart to know, that with her we believe all things are well.
