Funeral services were held for Gertrude Whittington Rouse, 93, of Lucedale, Apr 6, 2000 at 11 a m from Shady Grove Baptist Church. A native of George County and a member of the Baptist faith, she died April 3, 2000.
She is survived by three sons, Nevin Dean Rouse and McKerrin Rouse, both of Lucedale and Hillrie L. Rouse of Lyman; a daughter, Janie Rouse Hodges of Pensacola, Fla., 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rouse and a son, Jim B. Rouse. Interment was held at Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev Ronnie Maxie officiating the services. Pallbearers were Darren Ward, Patrick Rouse, Brian Rouse, Evan Rouse, Mark Onanian and Rhette Darby.
George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
