Gwen Andrus Pierce, 92, died on March 1, 2009 in Sandy.
She was born on October 16, 1916 to Raymond and Carrie Andrus in Holladay.
She married her sweetheart Bill Pierce and they were together for over 50 years. Growing up in Holladay with five brothers and two sisters, life was very eventful. Gwen was an outstanding cook, and loved to garden. But her true joy was being the caregiver to her family.
Gwen is survived by her two daughters Connee Pierce and Becky (Gary) Olson; grandkids Kirston Fortune (Pete), Rhett Wright and Cody (Melanie) Wright; two great grandkids Julian and Vincent and brother Gary Andrus and sister Bev Handy. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Don, Kirk, Bud, Niles and Steele and one sister Carol.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
Interment at the Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 South Memory Lane (1990 East).
