Walter O. Bynum, 98, a farmer died July 5, 2005, at Simpson General Hospital. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery in Magee.
Mr. Bynum was a deacon for Kennedy Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Harold "Henrietta" Bynum of Magee and son-in-law, Charlie Hawkins of Raleigh; daughters, Gloria Jean "Bill" Bratcher and Carol "George" McWilliams, both of Magee, Brenda "Harland" Kennedy of Mendenhall and Walter Rene "Linsey" Rogers of Brandon and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Warren Bynum; daughter, Kathleen Hawkins; his parents and three brothers, Floyd, Clairborne, and G.B. Bynum.
