John George Kirchner, 60, a miner, of Collinsville and formerly of Belleville, died last night at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Death was due to complications of diseases. He was ill seven months.
He was born in Belleville, April 3, 1875, a son of the late John and Selma (Wurmbs) Kirchner, both of whom were born in Germany. He married Esther Oughton at Birkner Station, August 15, 1896.
In addition to his widow he is survived by three sons and two daughters. George G., August, Arthur and Marjorie, wife of Percy Clark all of Collinsville, and Violet, wife of Harvey Folks, of Madison.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, a sister, Margaret, wife of William Siebecker, of Belleville, and a brother, August Buffard of Belleville.
Kirchner was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for 35 years and was also a member of the Progressive Miners of America.

John George Kirchner, 60-year-old native of Belleville, died at 8:40 o'clock last night in the Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, after a lingering illness. He had been a miner and resided in Collinsville for many years.

Mr. Kirchner was born on April 3, 1875, a son of John and Selma Kirchner, nee Wurmb, both natives of Germany. He married Miss Esther Oughton in Birchner Station on August 15, 1896. She survives.

Besides his wife he leaves two daughters and three sons:

Violet, wife of Harvey Folks, Madison, Ill.
George Kirchner, Collinsville, Ill.
August Kirchner, Collinsville, Ill.
Arthur Kirchner, Collinsville, Ill.

August Bufford, Belleville

... three grandchildren.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows for 35 years and a member of the Progressive Miners of America.

Funeral 2 o'clock Monday from the local funeral home to Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. Kuhlman of the Collinsville Evangelical Curch will conduct services.
