RAEFORD - Edith Felton Eure, 87, a native of Gates County, died Thursday, in a Pinehurst, N.C. hospital.
A funeral was conducted Saturday in Cool Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Ricky Barnes. Burial was in Eure Christian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Eure was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church and the widow of Adylett James Eure.
Survivors include two daughters, Josephine Horton of Ahoskie, N.C. and Eris Calimer of Virginia Beach; two sons, Edsel F. Eure of Hobbsville, N.C. and A J. Eure of Raeford; two sisters, Wyndolyn Eure of Eure, N.C. and Elizabeth Boyce of Chesapeake; a brother, Woodrow Felton of Winton, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
