The marriage of Miss Fern Duey of University Place to Frank Paull of Havelock took place at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Havelock Catholic church (sic). The bride and groom were attended by Miss Rose Hall as bridesmaid and Mr. McLaughlin as best man. After September 20 Mr. and Mrs. Paull will be at home to their friends in Havelock, where he is in business. She is the daughter of Mrs. Delilah Duey of University Place and has been a student at Wesleyan university (sic).

Fern D. Schneider, 70, retired supervisor in the Montgomery County schools and assistant professor at the University of Maryland, died of a heart ailment Friday at Suburban Hospital.

Mrs. Schneider, a native of Kansas, was a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University. She held a master's degree from George Washington University and a doctorate in education from Teachers College of Columbia University.

Mrs. Schneider worked in the Montgomery County schools as a teacher and supervisor for 29 years before her retirement in 1959. She had been on the faculty of the University of Maryland and worked as a consultant for five years after leaving the county school system.

Mrs. Schneider had been president of the Montgomery County YWCA. A chapter of the Future Teachers of America in Montgomery County was named after her.

She lived at 12000 Rockville Pike. Mrs. Schneider is survived by her husband, Ralph, of the home; a son, Donald, of Derwood, Md.; four brother, D. Guy and Paul C. Duey, both of Silver Spring, Dr. Harold Duey, of San Leandro, Calif., and Glen W. Duey, of Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. William Neville, of Silver Spring, and Mrs. George Luttermoser, of Kensington; and six grandchildren.
