George Augusta Ferguson, son of Irish emigrants, Terrance & Bridget (Nangle) Ferguson, died July 28th, 1907. George was born in Junction City, Perry Co., Ohio on July 23rd, 1843. George married Mary Grogan in Ohio on August 16th, 1867. Prior to the birth of their first child in 1869 George & Mary are living in Assumption, Christian Co. IL. where they raised their family of 9 children. Between 1887 & 1900 they have moved to Lincoln County, South Dakota, however prior to his death in 1907, George and Mary have relocated to Osage, Iowa.

In August of 1952, Rev. Dr. C. T. Stolze, pastor of St. Mary's church in Assumption sent the following information to Julia Ferguson Oliver.

"Edward Ferguson, son of Geroge Ferguson and Mary Grogan, was born in Assumption, March 1`5th 1869 and was baptized June 6th 1869. Witnesses S.A. and Mary Michel. Signed J.A. Jacque"

"James Terence, same parents born Oct 22nd, 1871 and baptized Nov 12, 1871. Witnesses Pat and Mary English. Signed J. A. Jacque"

"Julia, same parents, born April 1st, 1878, baptized April 21st, 1878. Witnesses John and Sarah Grogan. Signed K. J. Witkopf."

"Elias, same parents, born Aug 15th, 1882, baptized Sept 10, 1882. Witnesses Pat & Rose Grogan. Signed A.J. Pennartz."

"Mary, same parents, born Dec 8th, 1884 and baptized Jan 4th, 1885. Witnesses Joseph and Flora Simons.
Signed A.J. Fennartz."
