Pauline Kurys, 83, of Monte Vista, Colo. died Tue, Feb. 24, 2009.
Pauline was born in Austria on Sept. 23, 1925 to Michael and Juliana (Jungrerthmayer) Kraxberger. Pauline married Jan Kurys.
She came to America in 1951 and became a citizen of the United States in 1961. Pauline worked at the Monte Vista Hospital and the Monte Vista Food Bank for over 20 years. Pauline was a member of the Catholic Church. Pauline enjoyed flowers, walking, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery.
Preceding Pauline in death were her husband, and her parents. Pauline is survived by her children; Elfrieda Hutchins of Boulder, Colo, John Kurys of Monte Vista, Joe Kurys of Monte Vista and Linda Carroll Lich of Thornton, Colo; by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many step grandchildren and extended loved ones.
Rosary will be at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Monte Vista at 7 pm Wed, Feb 25, 2009. Funeral services will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10 am Thur, Feb. 26, 2009 followed by graveside services at Monte Vista Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juniper Village Chapel Fund in care of Strohmayer's Funeral Home 205 South Broadway, Monte Vista, Colorado 81144 who are in charge of arrangements.
