EDGAR LEAS
Edgar Leas, 82, Warsaw Route 2, a retied farmer, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday at County Memorial Hospital following a four-year illness.

He was born Jan 23, 1883, in Bedford township, a son of Finley [Finly] and Martha McCurdy Leas, and was married Jan. 27, 1906, to Mamie Norris, who died March 27, 1945.

Surviving are three sons, Carlos of Newark, Clyde of Wooster and Donald Leas of Canton; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Fox of Ashland, Mrs. Alice Stapleton of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Clarice Lonsinger of Trinway; three brothers, John of Warsaw Route 2, Harry and Hayden Leas, both of Akron; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and three brothers are deceased.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw in charge of Rev. George Vorhies. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery near Warsaw.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:40 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until time for services.
