Obituary
SAMUEL MARBLE, of 1320 8th Ave., Duncansville, died at 1.20 p.m. Saturday in the Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted Jan. 9, after an extended illness.
He was born in Newry on Dec. 10, 1888, a son of Nathaniel and Jane Elizabeth (Conrad) Marble, and was twice married, first to Nora Leighty, who died in August 1937, then to Susan C. Wilt on Sept. 10, 1938.
Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Vera Stoltz of Poplar Run; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother and sister, Roy of Duncansville and Mrs. Zilla Noll of Altoona.
He was a member of the Golden Age Club and retired in 1950 as a boilermaker for the P.R.R.
Friends will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. today.
