Mrs. Nora (Leighty) Marble of 1120 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, died suddenly yesterday at 5:45 just as she was about to prepare breakfast.
She had been in failing health for some time with a heart condition.
About 11 weeks ago she fell down the stairs and to better her condition the bedroom was moved to the first floor. As she attempted to rise yesterday morning, her husband noticed her slump and hurriedly called a physician. He pronounced her dead, attributing it to the heart ailment.
Born in Puzzletown on June 16, 1889, she was a daughter of Henry and Anna Elizabeth Leighty.
She married Samuel Marble on April 24, 1909.
Members of the family include the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Stoltz of Duncansville and the following brother and sister: Jeremiah Leighty of St. Joseph, MO; Mrs. Mollie Treml of Lilly; Mrs. Martin Shaw of Altoona; Boyd of Johnstown, Wilbur, Charles and Mrs. Nettie Gill all of Duncansville.
Mrs. Marble was formerly a member of the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church but for many years attended the Presbyterian church in Duncansville where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society.
They body may be viewed at the home.
