Avilda Obray Kingsford was born Thursday, May 27, 1897 in Paradise, Utah to Joseph Brenchley Obray and Elizabeth Olsen.

She married Orrel Clememt Kingsford on Wednesday, October 14, 1925 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three daighters: Doy, Roma, amd Clarice.

Avilda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as secretary of the Primary Association in the Hyrum Ward and akso took part in the Highland Park Ward Relief Society affairs.

Prior to her marriage, Avilda worked for the Hyrum Telephone Company. In January 1925, the Kingsford family moved to Salt Lake County. They resided at 2691 Chadwick Street in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

Avilda passed away at 11:39 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 1938 at her home of apoplexy. She had been suffering from myocarditis for the past three years, and had taken ill two days prior to her death.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 7, 1938 at 12:30 p.m. in the Highland Park Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2535 Douglas Street in Salt Lake City. Bishop Horace B. Richards officiated. A viewing was held at the family home on Wednesday, July 6, 1938 and prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
Avilda was laid to rest following the conclusion of the funeral services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in East Millcreek.
