Congressman Winstead Loses His Mother

Philadelphia, May 13 - Mrs. Ida Collins Winstead, 64, mother of Congressman Arthur A. Winstead, died at the family home 15 miles southeast here, in the House community.

Mrs. Winstead was the daughter of the late A. G. Collins and Mrs. Collins, and was born and reared in the community in which she died. She was a member of Pinegrove Baptist church.

She is survived by her son, Congressman Winstead; her husband, Thomas E. Winstead; her aged mother, Mrs. A. G. Collins; six daughters, Mrs. W. L. Winstead; Mrs. Ernest Crenshaw, Mrs. Henry Williams, Mrs. Arnold Nelson, Mrs. Roger Nelson and Miss Opal Winstead; four sons, Carl, Earl and Orlan Winstead, Camp Shelby; three sisters, Mrs. D. E. Killen, Mrs. H. N. Rush and Mrs. J. R. Reynolds and three brothers, W. E. Collins, J. D. Collins, and A. G. Collins.

Funeral arrangements incomplete pending arrival of relatives.
