SOLOMON, GEORGE Junior, 74, Oakdale, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday, May 14, 2002.
He attended Rankin Chapel Baptist Church where he served faithfully as the choir director and as a Deacon. During his life he served God through his love of music to spread the message of God's love as often as possible.
His life is a testimony of devotion to God, his church and his family. He will be missed by many friends and loved ones.
He is survived by his wife Verta Bailey Solomon; two daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Merley Tilson of Oakdale and Lynn and Bill Farnham of Harriman: grandchildren Tracy King, Melanie Nelson and Derrick Stewart of Oakdale and Katy Farnham of Harriman; great-grandchildren Regan and Corbin King and Hayden and Hannah Nelson; one brother and sister-in-law Howard (Doc) and Eva Solomon of Ringgold, Georgia; sister Mamie Russell of Harriman; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends which he considered family.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at Rankin Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Kerry Ruppe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
