Alfrieda, 88, a long-time resident of Dayton, passed away at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

She was a daughter of Robert and Josephine (Wynk) Bensman. On Sep 6, 1942, in Minster, she married Harry Bangerter, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Lois (Robert) Wimmers, Minster; a sister, Esther (Thomas) Roth, Englewood; a sister-in-law, Dolores Bensman, Minster; grandchildren, John (Paul) Parlett, New Bremen, Debora (James) Rudd, Xenia, Robert Parlett and Nancy, Celina and Steven (Kelly) Wimmers, Botkins; as well as her great-grandchildren, Morgen, Noah, Mariah and Aliyah Parlett, Luke Rudd, Haley and Hannah Wimmers and Sean Parlett; and numerous loving nieces and nephews and special friends.

Deceased are a daughter, Mary Jo Parlett; a granddaughter, Rose Theresa; and a brother, Harold Bensman.

She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, spending time with her friends and family and was an avid gardener. She was an active member and volunteer at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dayton and its Rosary Alter and Free Spirits. She was also a member of Council 500 Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Dayton Catholic Women's Club. In Minster she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the St. Gaspar del Buffalo Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Minster Eagles Aerie 1391 Auxiliary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Road, with Rev. Satish Joseph officiating.
