James Francis Casey, 75, 609 Wright avenue, a resident here since 1914 died Saturday at a hospital after a long illness.
Mr Casey was born August 26, 1883, in Litchfield Minn. He married Veronica Schaaf in 1904 in Murdock Minn. He was a machinist for the Milwaukee railroad until his retirement in 1952. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists, Sacred Heart Catholic church and the Holy Name society.
Survivors include the widow, five sons, James W., McCook lake, S.D.;Thomas J., Minneapolis; Harold J., Sioux City, Donald, Savannah, Ill. and Kenneth of Miles City, Mont.; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Harbeck and Mrs. Kathleen Erwin both of Sioux City; two brothers Thomas of Portland, Ore., and Ben of St. Maries, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Guider and Mrs. Josephine Lockhart both of Minneapolis, 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the Barkemier funeral home. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Rev. Gerald Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
