BETTY SUE (SHOPE) DeMARIO
Betty S. DeMario, 79, died Friday evening, July 4, at her son's home. Betty was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Altoona, Pa., and was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Treese) Shope.
She had been a homemaker and was a member of St. Edward's Church in Youngstown, Ohio. Her husband, Charles A. DeMario, whom she married March 13, 1947, died Nov. 21, 2006.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Charles (Beverly) DeMario, Liberty Township, Ohio, with whom she made her home, and Leonard F. (Linda) DeMario of Harrisburg, Pa.; a sister, Margaret Alley of Lock Haven, Pa.; a brother, Richard Shope of Huntingdon, Pa.; and seven grandchildren, Anthony, Catherine, Angelina (Michael) Gonzalez, Charles, Nicholas, Alexander and Gregory.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Shope; and a sister, Mary Jane Robertson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, in St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey, Pa. Friends may call at the Buse Funeral Home in Grantville, Pa., from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday evening.
